Nightmare on Blu-Ray

Here’s a scoop of what goodies await you for Nightmare if you get it on Blu-Ray. Courtesy of HDR

You have known the release date for Warner’s remake of A Nightmare on Elm Street is October 5 for weeks but now it is finally official, as are the mostly Blu-ray exclusive bonus features.

Jackie Earle Haley, Kyle Gallner and Twilight’s Kellan Lutz star in the Michael Bay production of A Nightmare on Elm Street which managed just over $63 million at the box office. That might be considered a flop had the film cost just over less than that to produce.

On Blu-ray, A Nightmare on Elm Street will be presented in 2.4:1 1080p video and 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio. A DVD version and digital copy will be included as well as these bonus features:

* BD Exclusive: Maniacal Movie Mode (picture-in-picture)
* BD Exclusive: Alternate Opening
* BD Exclusive: 6-Minute Alternate Ending
* BD Exclusive: Additional Scene
* Freddy Krueger Reborn featurette
